Feed the City Inc

Feed the City, Inc. is a 51(c)(3) organization led by Executive Director Larry D. Coleman. Feed the City is located at 1100 So. 26th Street in the inner west end of Louisville. Our non-discriminatory community based services are provided free of charge with no regards to a individuals race, creed, age or religious background. 

Our mission is to assist those in need by providing food, clothing and shelter in a stabilizing environment through physical resources and spiritual encouragement. We offer life skill courses, money management classes, rehabilitation building skill classes, anger management courses, drug & alcohol rehabilitation classes to overcome addiction and how to be a positive male/female role model in the family. 

Additionally, Feed the City is open to the community 6 days a week. We feed a hot plate Wednesday - Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 4p.m. We have a clothing closet open during the same time frame. We provide emergency food boxes to families facing hardship. We work with many agencies in the community providing their clients with food. We feed children in a low income housing complex every Saturday in Jeffersonville, IN. We provide food boxes every Friday to families in need in the Bullitt County area. We feed & provide hygiene products to the homeless  every Friday as well at the corner of 26th & Madison. 

Every month we have a give a way that is free of charge. Ex: Annual Back to School give a way, New Shoe give a way, New Bike give a way (for kids) Thanksgiving Turkey Food Box give a way providing 500 families with a turkey w/all the fixings for Thanksgiving and our Buy a Coat/Warm a Heart give a way that provides new coats, toboggans, scarves & gloves to 300+ less fortunate children for Christmas & so much more!!! 

Feed the City is here to meet the needs of families that are in need. There are no stipulations of zip code. We help everyone no matter where they reside at.
