NouLou Chamber Players

In 2015, a group of Louisville musicians started gathering in each other's homes for informal "reading parties"—playing chamber music together without rehearsal, simply for the joy of making music. It wasn't long before we realized our love of chamber music was meant to be shared.

Now, as NouLou Chamber Players embarks on its 11th Anniversary Season, we're grateful to celebrate more than a decade of bringing intimate, inspiring chamber music experiences to our community. This season continues our mission with five unforgettable concerts in the historic library at Oxmoor Farm, featuring beloved masterworks alongside world premieres by living composers, including Jeremy Beck and Daniel Gilliam, performed by Louisville's finest classical chamber musicians. Each concert also includes a pre-concert reception, creating an inviting atmosphere where audiences and performers connect through music. Beyond Louisville, we're expanding our reach with performances throughout the region, including Hanover College, bringing exceptional chamber music to new audiences while showcasing Louisville's outstanding musicians. 

As we reflect on our journey, we're proud of what we've accomplished together:

• 80 performances throughout Louisville and beyond with partners including Oxmoor Farm, Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, Filson Historical Society, 21c Louisville, WUOL Classical Louisville, Cave Hill Cemetery, The Carnegie, and many more.

• 6 commissioned works by composers Sebastian Chang, Daniel Gilliam, Jack McFadden-Talbot, Alyssa Weinberg, Lev "Ljova" Zhurbin, and Dorian Wallace.

• 4 educational collaborations with organizations including the Louisville Academy of Music, University of Louisville, Louisville Youth Orchestra, and Oxmoor Farm.

• 2 recording projects, including Cellostatus with Nicholas Finch and Daniel Gilliam's Piano Trio No. 2 "Payne Hollow."

• 1 incredible community—our audiences, sponsors, volunteers, and donors—whose support makes every performance possible.
