Slavery No More

Slavery No More is a counter-human trafficking organization dedicated to identifying and recovering victims while preventing future victimization by bringing traffickers and their criminal networks to justice. 

Recent Louisville, KY Impact: An eight-month investigation initiated and co-led by Slavery No More culminated in a coordinated multi-state operation working alongside federal, state, and local law enforcement in KY, NY,NC and GA. This resulted in the arrest of five traffickers, including the ringleader of an organized trafficking network operating across four states and the recovery of five victims, who were immediately connected with specialized aftercare services.

Closing the Investigation Gap

More than 99% of trafficking victims never self-report, and fewer than 0.5% of traffickers are ultimately prosecuted  revealing the greatest challenges in combating human trafficking: law enforcement are so understaffed, there are few if any investigators tasked or authorized to proactively pursue human trafficking victims or cases unless a tip is called in. And much of the time, even those tips come to Slavery No More. To stop traffickers, someone has to proactively identify hidden victims and traffickers, develop extensive evidence, and advance prosecutable cases.

Through our Initiate • Train • Advise • Assist model, we work alongside law enforcement initiating cases which otherwise would not exist, advancing cases that often otherwise go nowhere, and responding to tips which often go unaddressed altogether serving as a force multiplier providing specialized investigative support to increase and expand the number of cases, recover victims and bring traffickers and their criminal networks to justice – deterring other traffickers and preventing otherwise future victims.
