For more than two decades, in the heart of Louisville, a promise has been kept — over and over, one child, one family, one breakthrough at a time. Lighthouse Academy at Newburg, known to so many as Lighthouse Promise, Inc., isn't just an out-of-school-time program. It's a beacon. It's proof that when a community decides no child gets left behind, beautiful things happen.

Our Mission
Lighthouse Promise, Inc. exists to offer educational, spiritual, and economic programs that help children grow academically, socially, and personally — because a child who is thriving in every part of their life is a child ready to lead. From the very beginning, Lighthouse was founded as a safe haven — a place where at-risk youth could come, breathe easy, and believe in their own potential without asking permission.

Our Vision
We envision a Louisville where every child, no matter their zip code or their circumstances, has the tools, the confidence, and the community behind them to become the leader they were always meant to be. We see report cards turning into launching pads. We see homework help turning into homecoming — kids coming home to themselves, sure of who they are and what they're capable of.

What That Looks Like Every Day
Walk through our doors and you'll find Kindergarteners through 8th graders diving into reading, math, science, and technology — not because they have to, but because someone finally made it fun. You'll see homework getting done, questions getting asked without fear, and enrichment activities building the kind of confidence and leadership that no worksheet alone could ever teach. You'll find warm meals on the table and mentors in every corner, because Lighthouse knows a child can't learn on an empty stomach or an empty heart.

Jefferson County Public Schools has recognized us as an endorsed learning place — and we don't just meet Metro Louisville's Out-of-School Time Quality Standards, we exceed them, year after year. Not because we have to. Because our kids deserve nothing less.
