If you know me, you know that I have a deep passion for community-based science education. As a former public school science teacher, I have seen the impact that science can have on a student's literacy development, critical thinking, collaboration, and curiosity to learn. At Kentucky Science Center, we support these principals by creating experiences and programs that encourage all learners to Do Science!

This year on September 10, I'm excited to be participating in Give for Good Louisville to raise funds for Kentucky Science Center's Annual Fund for Science. 

I'm aiming to raise $139 to support Kentucky Science Center's overall goal of $25,000.

Funds raised will support our Annual Fund for Science, providing ongoing support for education programs and initiatives including:

• $500 supports Pulse of Surgery for a class of 25 students. 
• $300 takes one Science Expo to children’s and families’ neighborhoods.
• $139 supports one family with a Community Access Membership. 
• $21 supports one student's field trip admission to our Flagship Facility. 

Your gift will help provide people with hands-on experiences that demonstrate the relevance of STEAM in everyday life.
