Jeri Byron-Dixon's C4C fundraiser

Hello! My name is Jeriel. I began volunteering with Clean4Change as a sophomore in college and I now serve as a board member. During my time with the organization I have helped with events, environmental education and outreach, and other tasks necessary to keep our work moving forward.

I have been with Clean4Change for four years now, and have since began a career as an environmental scientist. Clean4Change has played a huge role in shaping how I understand my work. Nature is not separate from people and communities, but is deeply connected to human rights and social justice. Those most affected by pollution, climate change, and environmental degradation are often the people who have the fewest resources to respond. Working toward a healthier environment also means working toward healthier and more equitable communities.

I am proud to be part of an organization that recognizes those connections and understands that change starts with people coming together. I’d really appreciate your support in helping us continue this work!
