Jennifer Tinsley's Give for Good Page

Imagine a welcoming place where you can laugh and learn outside of home and school. Imagine being welcomed with open arms and in a judgement free environment. This is what anyone who enters into the Marnel C. Moorman Family Life Center will become a part of. This is how I remember Mr. Moorman's as a teacher, mentor and friend.  Mr. Moorman was the first male teacher I was privileged to know other than my dad.  Mr. Moorman made sure his (our) classroom was inviting, judgement free, and fun.  He not only taught math; he taught us Life Lessons also.  He helped us understand that being a student went beyond the classroom.  It meant being a person who gave to others by doing your best at all times, being your best and having a good attitude.  He taught us that "Your Attitude determines Your Altitude."  Other than my parents Mr. Moorman was by far the most influential teacher I have had the pleasure of learning from. 

Your donation will help us to continue to give back to the community by expanding our programs to include hiring high school students to be a part of work-based learning along with a Youth Coordinator.
