Nicki's Give for Good Campaign for St. MAM

Great things can happen when good humans come together, and I am so fortunate to count so many of them among my friends and family. So I'm asking each of you wonderful folks a favor.

Give for Good Louisville, Louisville's largest day of philanthropic giving occurs on Thursday, September 10. It is an incredible day of fundraising, as it allows local charities once-in-a-year opportunities to secure incredible financial prize money — all thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation of Louisville.

I have set a lofty goal of having FIFTY (50) friends and family members donate. Would you be one?  Any amount — from $10 to $10,000 — gives us an entry to one of the contests for these financial awards, which would go a long way toward helping us meet more of our neighbors needs, particularly through

• Augmenting our inventory of donated food and hygiene products in our pantry,
• Expanding our budget for emergency financial assistance, which prevents evictions and utility disconnections,
• Supporting the operational budget of our small staff of four, who make this work possible, and
• Allowing us to add new strategic programming to better the lives of our neighbors, including a) hiring a caseworker to further support our most vulnerable clients, and b) developing a youth recreation scholarship fund to make youth sports, the arts, summer camps, and more accessible to our client families.

While donations ANY TIME OF DAY on the 10th are very much appreciated, we are particularly targeting two time blocks to optimize our chances at prizes:

1. 1:00pm to 3:00pm - "The Afternoon Drive" - Organizations with the most online donations will be given and additional $1,000

2. 7:15pm - 7:17pm - "The Greatest Two Minutes in Giving" - 6 randomly selected donors will receive $5K to $20K for their charity! (Yes, up to $20,000!)
