Common Ground Kentucky

Common Ground Kentucky is a coalition of thirty-three partner organizations across Kentucky who believe that we have more in common than not – things like wanting safe and affordable housing, fully funded public schools, good community jobs that pay a living wage, and healthcare that is accessible and trustworthy. 

Together we’re organizing people and resources for a stronger, more just Kentucky! 

In the last four years, our coalition partners have:

• Defeated an extreme anti-abortion constitutional amendment, 52 to 47. 
• Defeated a constitutional amendment that would allow public funds for private schools – 65 to 35 – in all 120 Kentucky counties. 
• Trained over four hundred people on the fundamentals of community organizing. 
• Had thousands of conversations at the door with Kentuckians.
• And turned out over 78,000 voters, with 29,000 of those voters having less than a 20 percent chance of voting!
