Give For Good Together

One community. Many missions. One shared celebration.

This year, the Southern Indiana Health Foundation is joining The Root and a collective of local nonprofit organizations for Give for Good Together, an in-person fundraising celebration designed to bring the community together around the causes doing meaningful work across Southern Indiana.

Give for Good Louisville is one of the region's biggest days of generosity, but nonprofit organizations often experience the day separately—competing for attention in a crowded digital landscape. We wanted to try something different.

Give for Good Together brings nonprofits, donors, businesses, and community members into the same room to connect, learn, celebrate, and give.

Rather than fundraising in isolation, all donations made through the Give for Good Together experience will go into one shared giving pool and be distributed among the participating nonprofit organizations. Your gift can therefore support a broader network of organizations working to strengthen our community in different but interconnected ways.

Who Your Gift Supports

Southern Indiana Health Foundation

The Southern Indiana Health Foundation invests in the health and wellbeing of children, families, and communities across Southern Indiana. Through education, prevention, and strategic partnerships, the Foundation supports initiatives focused on mental health, substance abuse prevention, trauma recovery, suicide prevention, family services, and more.

Kerith Family Recovery

Kerith Family Recovery helps individuals and families break cycles of addiction through recovery support, family services, education, and community-based programming. Their work focuses on restoring hope, strengthening relationships, and creating pathways toward lasting recovery.

Indiana Small Business Development Center

The Indiana SBDC helps entrepreneurs and small businesses start stronger, grow faster, and work smarter through no-cost, confidential business advising and training. ISBDC will not receive funds from this fundraiser, but will participate in the event to connect entrepreneurs and business owners with valuable resources and support.

The WO Network

The WO Network connects, equips, and empowers women through meaningful relationships, personal development, and community engagement. Through networking opportunities, events, and intentional connections, The WO Network creates spaces where women can grow personally and professionally.

The Bulldogs Original Five

The Bulldogs Original Five was founded by the first five Black football student-athletes to integrate the University of Georgia football program in 1971. Through mentorship, leadership development, scholarships, and workforce readiness programs, the organization helps students and student-athletes build successful futures while carrying forward a legacy of courage, opportunity, and service.

Come Give for Good Together

We're turning the traditional giving day into an experience—with an 80s-inspired telethon theme, food, drinks, entertainment, nonprofit storytelling, and plenty of opportunities to connect.

12:00–1:00 PM | Give for Good Together Lunch

We'll kick off the celebration with lunch from The Tavern and a conversation about building a stronger Southern Indiana ecosystem.

The Root Co-Founder Brigid Morrissey will share the "why" behind Give for Good Together before bringing representatives from the participating nonprofits together for a panel discussion about collaboration, community, and the work happening across Southern Indiana.

Lunch is provided The Tavern.

5:30 PM | Evening Kickoff

Join us for an evening of food, drinks, community, and entertainment. Holly will welcome guests and share more about the vision behind Give for Good Together before introducing comedian Dan Alten, whose performance is sponsored by Bliss Events & Co.

Enjoy heavy appetizers and drinks from The Tavern while connecting with nonprofit leaders, community members, sponsors, and fellow supporters.

6:00 PM | Meet the Nonprofits

Hear directly from the organizations you're helping support.

Representatives from our participating nonprofits will take the stage to share who they are, what they do, and why their work matters to Southern Indiana.

6:30–6:45 PM | Magic Show

Magician and hypnotist Richard Darshwood will take the stage for an entertaining interlude.

7:00 PM | Live Music with Southern Sirens

We'll close out the evening with live music from Southern Sirens.

And because this is an 80s-themed celebration, costumes are encouraged! Think neon, denim, leg warmers, big hair, and everything in between. You don't have to dress up—but why miss the opportunity?

8:00 PM | Thank You + Raffle

We'll wrap up the evening by celebrating our community, thanking our sponsors and partners, and giving away raffle prizes from Sukhino, Jubilee of WellnessSouthern Indiana Health Foundation, The Root, and other community partners.

Thank you to our community partners!
