What Drives Us?

Freedom Lake Ministries is a Christ-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping men break the cycles of addiction and incarceration by making disciples who make disciples.

Every day, men enter the prison system carrying more than a sentence. Many carry addiction, broken relationships, and hopelessness. They may complete programs and walk out the gates—but without a new identity, a strong spiritual foundation, and people willing to walk alongside them, the cycle can begin again.

Freedom Lake Ministries is changing that story from the inside out.

Our discipleship begins inside a correctional facility, where men encounter Jesus, discover their identity in Christ, and learn what it means to follow Him. And it doesn't end when they walk out the gates.

From The Church Within to the Church & Ministry Hub and the Discipleship Lodge, men have a continuous pathway to grow in their faith, receive mentorship and practical support, develop as leaders, serve others, and ultimately become disciple-makers themselves.

Since 2018, Freedom Lake Ministries has discipled 3,808 men, celebrated 955 baptisms, and watched men who were once reached inside prison return as disciple-makers to reach the next man.

Someone went in for them. Now they're going back for one more.
