Partner with us to raise money for Decode Project! Our mission at Decode Project is to eliminate inequities in education by fostering a diverse group of learners prepared to navigate the world. 

Reading isn't something we as people just do. It is a skill that has to be taught, retaught, retried, and nurtured like a baby. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to reading. Having experienced being a public school student and now a public school teacher, I know that sometimes students need extra support outside of the classroom. My time at Decode Project has taught me, as a Literacy Mentor, that a 1-to-1 connection has just as much of an impact as it does in a 1-to-25.  Decode Project is a nonprofit that not only provides quality educational resources to help the youth, but it is also a place that lets students see that educational spaces don't have to be scary. We see students and let students come as they are.

Working at Decode:

Working at Decode has truly been a blessing. Giving back to students can sometimes look like field trips and free items; the intentional educational resources Decode Project offers can have a larger impact. I have seen Decoders gain confidence, feel more independent, and want to take control of their learning. I have gained relationships and have been able to show students what it looks like when someone young advocates for their education.
