The Ronald McDonald House x LOUMED Shuttle Program
In January 2026, Ronald McDonald House and LOUMED launched a dedicated shuttle service to support families staying at the House. This service provides safe, reliable transportation between Ronald McDonald House and downtown medical facilities where children are receiving care, including:
- Norton Children’s Hospital
- Frazier Rehab Institute
- Novak Center for Children's Health
- UofL Hospital
Operating Monday through Friday, the shuttle reduces stress and removes transportation barriers during already overwhelming circumstances.

- Delivered all services completely free of charge
The shuttle expands this support by helping families travel easily between Ronald McDonald House and downtown hospitals regardless of weather, access care without the added stress of transportation concerns, and support loved ones even when facing mobility challenges. The House serves families with disabilities, new mothers, and caregivers navigating complex medical journeys, and this shuttle helps carry them through it.
