Help Amie & Brayden Create More EPIC Impact

In Southern Indiana and the Louisville, Kentucky area, once adults with special needs age out of school and many of the programs that have supported them for years, resources can become very limited. Families often refer to this transition as “falling off the cliff.”

For many adults, finding meaningful employment, a place to belong, opportunities to continue learning, friendships, and a way to earn an income can be incredibly difficult.

Our family has experienced firsthand just how life-changing the right opportunity can be.

For Brayden, having a job at Wigglewow has become so much more than simply going to work. It has given him opportunities to try new things, build confidence, take pride in what he accomplishes, earn an income, create meaningful relationships, and most importantly, dream about his future.

There is something incredibly powerful about being given the chance to discover what you can do.

As Brayden’s mom, I have watched that transformation personally. But I also have the privilege of seeing it every day through my role as Director of Operations and a board member for the Wigglewow nonprofit.

I see the smiles when an EPIC Chef masters something new. I see the pride when they receive a paycheck. I see friendships being built, confidence growing, and individuals discovering abilities they may never have known they had. I see the joy they bring to our customers, volunteers, partners, and community.

This is what can happen when we give someone the opportunity to shine.

Brayden and I are passionate about helping create these same opportunities for more adults with special needs. We want others to experience the sense of purpose, belonging, independence, and hope for the future that meaningful work can provide.
