One of the things we have learned at A Hand Up is that people need more than programs. They need opportunities, encouragement and someone willing to walk alongside them as they work toward something better.

That is especially true for our kids. We want them to see beyond what may be happening around them today and understand that there are possibilities for their lives. Whether we are talking about education, careers, finances or simply making good decisions, we want them to know that their future can look different.

We want the same for the adults and families we serve. Our Financial Empowerment and Homeownership programs are about more than buying a house. They are about helping people become financially stable, build savings, improve credit, reduce debt and put themselves in a position to create something lasting for their families.

As we look ahead, we are also preparing to expand our work into the Parkland neighborhood, with a focus on financial empowerment and helping residents build a pathway toward homeownership. We know this work will take time, relationships and trust, but we believe it is an important next step for A Hand Up.
