Breakthrough Louisville is a free, 6-week summer academic program for underserved middle school students with a dual mission of building academic confidence and introducing college students to the teaching profession. We focus on Math and Language Arts and, with small classroom sizes (5-9 students) and young teachers, students can grow their skills and most importantly, their confidence. We test our students on the first and last days of school in Math and Language Arts. This summer, over 90% of our students improved in Math in just 6 weeks! We have been in this community since 1992 and hope to continue our success well into the future.
