Our Mission

CEC is a hybrid school, established to support the families of older home schooled children who value Christian character and collegiate style academics, in order to prepare them to glorify God through their lives.

History & Background

The Christian Educational Consortium (CEC) of Louisville, Kentucky, was founded in 2001 by Director Beverly Clark to provide quality Christian education for homeschooled students. Originally starting with just six instructors and 40 students, CEC has grown exponentially to more than 600 students and more than 40 faculty and staff members. CEC's unique consortium model offers rigorous collegiate-style academics alongside comprehensive extracurricular programs including competitive sports, award-winning clubs like Chess, FCA, and Rotary Interact, and traditional school events, preparing homeschooled students for college and life while maintaining strong Christian character development.

Our Impact

• CEC supports more than 400 families by providing core curriculum and elective courses, as well as character-building extracurriculars through athletics, clubs, and service opportunities. 
• We draw students from a fifty-mile radius including the following counties: Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, Bullitt, Henry, Trimble, Anderson, Franklin, and Meade in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, and Harrison in Indiana.
• A majority of students participate in clubs at CEC and roughly one third compete on a CEC athletics team.
• An average of $3.2 million in scholarship funds are awarded to CEC’s graduating seniors each year.
• On average, roughly 80% of CEC graduates plan to attend college, 10% move onto trade school or military service, and 10% join the workforce.
