Clark County Historical Society and Howard Steamboat Museum Inc

The Clark County Historical Society dba: The Howard Steamboat Museum, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the famous three-generation steamboat building Howard family, their legacy, and the lore of the Great Steamboat Era. 

We are an entirely independent museum operated by a 24-person Board of Directors and take no regularly scheduled funding of any sort from any Federal State, or Local government or organization.  We survive on the generosity of our guests, fund-raising events on campus (and off), mail funding requests, and the operation of our Carriage House event center.
