Collaborative for Teaching and Learning

Becky needed activities to do at home with her young children that did not require looking at a screen. When she received an Artful Reading on the Go kit from the Collaborative for Teaching and Learning (CTL), she was excited to try something new. She shared, “In the kits, there was so much social emotional engagement, there was reading comprehension, there was generalizing this information to your life and the real world. There was imaginative play stuff in it.” As a busy parent, she also appreciated how much information was provided in the activity instructions so that she knew exactly what to do. “This is so well thought out. I’m just in love with them.”

Demetrius attended an after-school program to get extra help with academics. He especially struggled with math and thought he just couldn’t do it. After learning new strategies and practicing his skills with the math games from CTL’s Procedural Fluency program, he soon found his confidence and declared to his teachers, “I can do math now!”

At CTL, we envision a future in which every student receives exceptional learning experiences every day. Our mission is to equip teachers and families with high-quality programs and materials that allow students to think deeply and grow as readers and mathematicians.
