From children’s educational programming and lifelong learning resources to local productions that tell the stories of our communities, KET serves more than two million people each week.

Growing with Louisville

For more than 50 years, KET has served Greater Louisville through trusted public television, educational outreach and community partnerships. In 2025, our commitment grew with the opening of KET's Louisville Production Center in the iconic American Life Building in downtown Louisville.

From the heart of downtown, the center expands KET’s ability to tell local stories, convene important conversations, and create programming that reflects the people and communities of Louisville and Southern Indiana while reaching audiences throughout Kentucky.

From this facility, KET produces programs including Inside Louisville, Kentucky Health, Kentucky Edition, Kentucky Tonight and News Quiz, bringing local perspectives to viewers across the Commonwealth.

 

Serving Louisville, Sharing Kentucky

Every day, KET serves Louisville — with educational outreach, community partnerships, local storytelling and free events that bring families together. The Louisville Production Center has strengthened KET’s ability to produce programs that reflect the people, ideas and issues shaping our community while sharing those stories with viewers across Kentucky.

KET’s commitment to Greater Louisville extends well beyond the television screen. Through educational outreach, community partnerships, free family events like Be My Neighbor Day and local productions created at the Louisville Production Center, KET brings people together to learn, connect and engage with the issues and stories that matter most to our community.

That commitment is reflected in the quality of KET's work. In 2026, KET earned nine Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award nominations, with The Farmer & The Foodie taking home an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award.
