Exodus Family Ministries

When clients come to us needing food, clothing, shelter, or basic necessities, we treat them like family. We don't just hand them supplies and send them on their way; we get to know them. We figure out how we can help, not just for the day, but long-term. Our goal is to create stability in their lives, while showing them love and dignity. That's one reason why so many of our clients later become volunteers. They find the connections and compassion they needed and want to stay with us even after they no longer need our services.

Last year, Exodus helped more than 8,200 people in our community. 

• People like Ruth, who needed help with food for herself and her grandchildren.
• Like Jonna, who was living on the streets and wanted to find a safe place to sleep at night.
• Like Miguel, who needed clothes and work boots to start a new job.
• Like Thomas, who had to get a form of identification so he could apply for benefits.

These are just some of the stories we hear as we serve our neighbors.

Your donation makes impactful, life-altering differences in their lives, and it powers our ability to carry out our mission of guiding our neighbors in Southwest Louisville out of captivity – whether it be poverty, addiction, lack of education, hunger, or other forms of oppression – by offering support, prayer, and services to address these needs.

It makes the following services possible:

• A USDA-approved food pantry that feeds nearly 5,800 people a year, plus makes deliveries to the homes of the elderly, disabled, and those without transportation. 
• A thrift store that sells gently used items at a fraction of the cost, as well as provides vouchers for free work, play, and school outfits for all ages (infant through senior citizens).
• The only full-service day shelter for the unhoused in Southwest Louisville, which provides showers, laundry services, food, clothing, case management, and connections to community partners to help transition individuals from the streets to stability.
• Faith services for those who want to learn more about the Bible and God's salvation* (Participation in faith services is not required for people to access our other programs).

Our goal is not to duplicate existing community programs, but to fill the gaps in Southwest Louisville. Please help us uplift the families in our community by donating today!
