A Community Coming Together to Provide Foster Youth with their First Car.

Every year, hundreds of teens age out of foster care in the state of Kentucky, without an adoptive family, nor the resources most of us take for granted. The First Car Project brings together community members, businesses, and vehicles, to gift qualifying teens with their first car. By providing reliable transportation and insurance, we are providing more than a car, we're providing a vehicle to success in life. Thank you for your interest and contribution!

THE IMPACT

Since 2024, First Car Project has gifted 16 First Cars to deserving applicants, including a young man wanting to get a job, a young mom needing to transport her child to appointments, teens in independent living without other transportation options and more. Each chosen applicant must meet the requirements outlined in our process because we believe that following the steps in our process will provide the best support and model for ongoing success.
