Galaxy Basketball Inc

Galaxy Basketball Inc. Is Louisville's ONLY FREE girls K-5th grade basketball league. We have two sessions: Fall and Spring. Both sessions last 5 weeks. Practices are held through the week and games are played on Saturday's. All practices and games are at Meyzeek Middle School. 

In Galaxy, we DO NOT keep score because winning the games doesn't matter, our focus is on whether or not they are trying to take the skills they learn during the week and apply them in the games.  We also focus on important life skills such as team work, reliability, loyalty, determination, leadership, working through difficult times, listening and communicating. All things that the girls will need in life after they stop playing basketball. We are breaking down the barrier of economics within our community, taking away the ability to see the "Haves" vs. "Have Not" and allow every family to allow their daughters to play basketball for free.  

All the coaches are ex-JCPS female players, some even played college basketball at the D1, D2 and D3 levels.  We pay for refs for the older girls games and use all female refs provided from Ref Junkies. Galaxy is a strong family oriented organization and we are working to help mold strong, successful Galaxy women in our community. 

Galaxy started in Fall of 2023 with only 32 girls and in the past spring session, we had 95 girls participate between K-5th grade. The equipment, t-shirts, uniforms, basketballs, practice equipment are all provided by Galaxy Basketball Inc. 

The Galaxy family will continue to provide these services for all of those Galaxy Girls in Louisville, because we know for a fact that without Galaxy, there would be so many young players that would not have the opportunity we are giving them. We could have the next Caitlin Clark or Angel Reese just waiting for the chance to open their love for the game, and Galaxy Basketball Inc. is here to provide just that.
