Haiti 323 Project

A nonprofit organization

We are a Christian ministry dedicated to teaching Haitians how to sew so they can provide for themselves and their families.

We’re giving Haitians the opportunity to learn how to sew - a valuable skill that can change their lives, and their families' lives, forever. It’s a "hand up" not a "hand out."

To many, learning to sew is a doorway to a better life.  With this valuable skill, they can become entrepreneurs and start their own businesses. The money they make can be used to feed their families, send their children to school, pay for medical treatment, provide safe homes for their families, and so much more.

We currently operate (4) sewing classes in Northwest Haiti

  • (1) adult sewing class in the city of Port-de-Paix
  • (2) adult sewing classes in the village of Mole St. Nicolas
  • (1) teenage sewing class for the teenagers who live in the Mole St. Nicolas Children's Home.

The money raised this year will go toward program costs like classroom fabric and sewing supplies, and Haitian teacher and staff salaries.
(Note: our small US-based staff is 100% volunteer and they do not take a salary).

Thank you for making opportunity possible in Haiti!

Who We Are

We are a Christ-centered ministry making opportunity possible through vocational training.

All people are made in the image of God - they have value and worth. Gifts and talents.

But in our world, not everyone gets the opportunity to use them. We’re changing that.

We’re giving Haitians the opportunity to learn a trade, through vocational training programs, so they can provide for themselves and their families.

We currently operate two sewing programs in Northwest Haiti, which is the poorest part of Haiti. Both classes are taught by Haitian sewing teachers.

There are 6 students enrolled in our third year, advanced sewing class, which is located in a city called Port-de-Paix. These students (all men) are learning advanced sewing techniques, and they're already earning extra income for themselves by sewing school uniforms and making alterations.

Our second sewing program is in a village called Mole St. Nicolas, which is about a 3 hours drive from Port-de-Paix. This class is now in its second year, and has one Haitian sewing teacher and 11 students, all of whom are women. The students are making a variety of clothes for both women and children.
