At The I CAN Foundation, we believe that every individual deserves the chance to say, “I CAN.” Whether it’s a child lacking confidence, a family burdened by incarceration, or a nonprofit struggling to stay afloat, we exist to ignite hope, build faith, and create pathways forward.
Our work centers around a three-part model: C.A.N. — Camps, Academics, and Network Support. Through these pillars, we empower youth, support families, and strengthen communities with programs rooted in connection, compassion, and Christ-centered values.
C — Camps: Coaching & Connection
Our faith-based sports camps are more than athletic events — they are transformational experiences that combine play, purpose, and personal growth. Each June, we host a full-scale summer camp at a leased field or facility, offering youth a space to be active, be heard, and be encouraged.
We also offer seasonal one-day camps throughout the year during school breaks — including March (Spring Break), October (Fall Break), and other key times — ensuring more kids can access support, even if they can’t attend the full summer camp.
At our camps, participants engage in:
Softball and adaptive sports designed for all skill levels and abilities
Faith-based workshops that explore purpose, self-worth, and spiritual identity
Motivational speakers who share real stories of resilience and redemption
These gatherings foster teamwork, connection, and inner confidence, helping kids feel seen, valued, and capable of overcoming life’s challenges.
A — Academics: Faith-Based Services for Children of Incarcerated Parents
Children with incarcerated parents face unique emotional, academic, and social challenges that can deeply impact their development and self-image. Our Academics program is designed to walk alongside these youth with consistent, faith-rooted support.
We provide:
Tutoring and academic guidance to help students stay engaged and succeed in school
Mentorship and counseling to address emotional trauma and build positive relationships
Small group workshops where kids can connect with peers who understand their experiences
Faith-based enrichment that helps them form healthy identities and find hope in Christ
This work is deeply personal. Many of these children feel invisible or forgotten, but through our programs, they are reminded that they matter — that they are not defined by their circumstances, but by their God-given potential.
N — Network: Supporting Local Nonprofits
Strong communities rely on strong local organizations. Through our Network initiative, we support selected grassroots nonprofits with the resources they need to continue their mission — especially those offering high-impact services but operating with limited or unstable funding.
We assist with:
Operational expenses such as rent, utilities, and staff compensation
Essential program support to keep critical services running
Strategic guidance and collaboration, helping nonprofits refine their mission and reach more people
We focus on helping organizations that are deeply trusted by their communities — those whose work is making a real difference but who need a helping hand behind the scenes to sustain their impact.
More Than a Motto — A Movement
“I CAN” is more than our name — it’s our mission. It’s a declaration we speak over every young person at our camps, every child navigating the absence of a parent, and every nonprofit striving to serve others with limited means.
We serve with faith at our core, believing that transformation happens when people are seen, supported, and spiritually grounded. Whether we're on a ball field, in a classroom, or sitting beside a child in prayer, we are there to remind them:
You are not alone. You are loved. And yes — you CAN.
