Imagination Library of Louisville

Imagination Library of Louisville is impacting child literacy and kindergarten readiness by mailing a free, high quality, age appropriate monthly book to over 21,000 Louisville children from birth to age five every month.  Help us cover the cost of one month of books by giving today! • The first five years of a child’s life are crucial for a child's development, and exposure to books at an early age is critical for their early learning.
• Currently, over 50% of children are not kindergarten ready when they arrive at JCPS. 
• We are changing that by making sure all families have access to high quality books in early childhood.  
• Imagination Library books are carefully selected each year by child literacy experts who prioritize books that facilitate developmental milestones, illustrate diversity, and promote early learning. 
• Books arrive at each child's doorstep with their name on it, creating an attachment to books at an early age, and are theirs to keep to build their personal library. 
• Books are always free to families. We fundraise to cover the cost of the books and shipping, which is just $1.30 per child per month, so your donation goes a long way!
