The Justice Center at All Peoples

The Justice Center at All Peoples Unitarian Universalist Congregation focuses on developing the capacities of congregations and community groups to engage in meaningful justice advocacy and activism.  We work primarily by focusing on our surrounding communities (primarily the eastern parts of Jefferson County) and centering the people and communities who are most impacted by injustice. We work to build coalitions and networks to engage in justice work and working in collaboration with partner organizations who are led by or who represent the most impacted communities.  Some of our initiatives include: 

1. The Metro Louisville Voting Rights Coalition (working to ensure that people with felonies in their past have a pathway to regain the right to vote).
2. The Interfaith Environmental Action Network (bring faith communities together to support each other as we expand our internal efforts to become more environmentally sound; and crafting a shared environmental justice agenda).
3. Clergy Resistance and Resilience Network (providing support and resource sharing opportunities for clergy who are working with their congregations to resist the harms to our neighbors from administrative and legislative actions).
4. Interfaith Network in support of Trans people and their Families)

The Justice Center most recently brought together more than a dozen local organizations and congregations to organize a "democracy festival" for the fall of 2025. 

The Justice Center works with the Association of Community Ministries to develop their advocacy efforts, has recently joined with the Center for Interfaith Relations to launch an interfaith network for dialogue; and is in conversation with VOCAL KY to create a "faith in action" initiative.  

The Justice Center has become a leading force for organizing meaningful interfaith organizing and change efforts.
