Advocating for Kentucky’s Kids

For nearly 50 years, Kentucky Youth Advocates has worked alongside elected officials, community partners, and young people to improve outcomes for children across the state. From policy change to system reform, our mission is simple: to make Kentucky the best place in America to be a kid.

As the independent voice for Kentucky’s kids, KYA seeks to:

Ensure policymakers create investments and policies that are good for all children.
Mobilize advocates to take action on behalf of kids and families through rallies, trainings, and partnerships.
Amplify youth voices by training the next generation of leaders to advocate for themselves and their communities.
Conduct research and education that informs and recommends solutions to help kids and families succeed.
