On September 23, 2013, the Roberts family received the devastating news that their two-year-old daughter, Addilyn “Addie” Grace, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Addie endured nearly three years of grueling chemotherapy treatments, at one point becoming gravely ill from complications. However, through immense strength, faith, and exceptional medical care, she pulled through and is now thriving in remission.

Camp provides her a place to just be a kid among peers who truly understand her experiences, allowing her to form deep, lifelong friendships. Kids Cancer Alliance also embraced the entire Roberts family by including siblings in camp and hosting family retreats that allowed everyone to slow down, recharge, and make joyful, lasting memories.
