A Tax Refund Can Change a Life

A tax refund may look like a number on a form, but for many Louisville families it means rent paid, lights kept on, reliable transportation, childcare, groceries, and the opportunity to move forward instead of falling behind.

Tasha's Story

A Louisville mother of two, tax season once meant stress and uncertainty. Between rising bills and everyday expenses, she worried about making a mistake that could cost her the refund her family depended on.

Through LABC's free tax preparation services, volunteers helped her navigate the process and claim the EITC.
