Louisville Outreach for the Unsheltered Inc

At Louisville Outreach for the Unsheltered, our mission is to promote compassion, build meaningful relationships, and provide life-affirming support to individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. We are committed to serving our neighbors without judgment or condition, recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of every person.

Through consistent and compassionate outreach, we seek to cultivate trust and human connection, meeting individuals where they are, both physically and emotionally. Our approach is deeply relational, focused not only on addressing immediate needs but also on fostering long-term hope and healing.

Our volunteer-driven weekly outreach on Sundays provided over 30,000 meals and countless supplies (clothing, hygiene products, blankets, etc.) to our unsheltered neighbors in 2024.

We work collaboratively with local agencies, service providers, and community partners to ensure that those we encounter have access to critical resources, including shelter, food, medical care, mental health support, and pathways to stable housing. By acting as a bridge to these services, we aim to break down barriers and empower individuals to take steps toward stability and self-sufficiency.

Our work helps individuals and families connect to critical resources, including IDs, birth certificates, social security, SNAP benefits, Medicaid and Medicare, shelter resources, housing counseling, and care management. 

Our community partners include the Coalition for the Homeless, St John Center, The Table Cafe, Promise Housing Plus, Vocal-KY, Louisville Pride Foundation, Target4 Project Region 5, Solutions Health Inc., New Leaf Clinic, and more. 

Guided by compassion and driven by a desire to make a lasting difference, we strive to create a city where no one is forgotten and everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Our ultimate goal is to be a consistent, compassionate presence in the lives of those we serve—walking alongside them in their journey, offering assistance, and advocating for systemic change that addresses the root causes of homelessness.
