The Louisville Zoo

Every visit to the Louisville Zoo creates a connection between people and wildlife. Every gift helps protect that connection.

The Louisville Zoo exists to "Better the Bond Between People and Our Planet." That mission drives the Zoo's exceptional staff in caring for more than 1,100 animals, inspiring conservation through education, and creating meaningful experiences that help people connect with wildlife.

Caring for animals is a year-round commitment that begins with you.

Your support helps provide the necessary resources to give each animal the highest quality of care possible. From preparing specialized diets to offering educational and community-based events, the work that connects people and planet happens here every day.

The Louisville Zoo is also committed to conservation efforts around the globe and participates in programs that help protect endangered species. We are proud to be one of five institutions caring for a captive breeding population of black-footed ferrets, one of the most endangered animals in North America.

When you give during Give for Good Louisville, you are supporting:

• Daily animal care and enrichment
• Expert veterinary services
• Conservation and species survival efforts
• Educational programs that inspire future wildlife advocates
• The continued growth of a zoo that serves the entire community and the Commonwealth

Whether you choose one of the giving options provided or select an amount that is personally significant to you, your generosity makes a major difference. Every dollar helps provide care, enrichment, and opportunities for animals and the people who love them.

Together, we can better the bond between people and our planet.
