Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council

Young People. Real Decisions. Lasting Impact.

For 20 years, Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council (LYPC) has cultivated the next generation of philanthropic leaders by placing young people at the center of meaningful community investment. Through hands-on experience, students examine local needs, engage directly with nonprofit leader, and make informed decisions about how grant dollars are invested throughout our community.

LYPC students don't simply learn about philanthropy - they practice it. Through hands-on experiences with local nonprofits, students develop the leadership, collaboration, and decision-making skills to become thoughtful contributors to our community.

And every student participates at no cost.

Your support makes this possible. Donations help to cover the operational costs of delivering our program - from experienced facilitators and program materials to student resources and community-based learning experiences - while ensuring cost is never a barrier to participate.

Beyond the Grant Team 2025-2026Our Give for Good goal is $5,000 to help keep LYPC accessible and impactful for every student we serve. Every dollar raised strengthens our ability to provide high-quality programming today while investing in the next generation of community leaders.

“It is important to give back because I think it's vital to fight for those who can't necessarily fight for themselves. LYPC has given me connections to the community, so now I am aware of the multitude of missions from different organizations. I now feel connected to my community and as though I am making an impact on those around me. LYPC gives students an opportunity to not only connect to the community around us, but lets us know that we are capable of making change at our age.” -Riley Rogers, LYPC Member 20-21
