In case you're just hearing about us for the first time today: we're a child welfare and behavioral health nonprofit that operates a variety of programs that are each designed to meet key needs for Kentucky children and families in greatest need.

• Our nationally-recognized residential campuses provide a safe, enriching place for young survivors of abuse to build resilience and prepare for their next steps.
• Our community-based counseling service, Maryhurst Renewal, partners with youth and families seeking behavioral health support. Renewal's mix of services help clear barriers to success at home, at school, and throughout the city. The video above spotlights one facet of Renewal's community partnership, a model we've developed that embeds Maryhurst community supports at more than a dozen public and nonprofit sites, where we offer accessible mental health care.
• Our transitional living and aftercare services create pathways to permanency, stability and ultimately independence. As kids move on from other Maryhurst programs, Aftercare helps them make the transition smooth during an uncertain time.

Any gift you make during GFG will quickly be applied where it’s needed most. It may cover an hour of therapy where an adult exiting incarceration practices coping skills that will build a healthy foundation for success. It may fund a college visit for a graduating senior who's looking forward to finding their dream school. It may simply be used to buy the essentials for a child moving onto our campus: bedding, clothes, and hygiene.

Who We Are

At Maryhurst, our vision is communities free of abuse and filled with hope for every child and family.

Maryhurst's residential campuses are places of new beginning for children who have been traumatized by unimaginable abuse. Founded by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in 1843, Maryhurst is the oldest behavioral health services organization in Kentucky.

Maryhurst's continuum of care provides a wide range of expert clinical, educational, and health/well-being services that provide the right mix of wellbeing resources to suit an individual's needs. Our programs include an intensive campus-cased residential treatment program, community-based treatment homes, transitional living and aftercare for foster youth, and outpatient & in-home counseling services.
