Network Theory Applied Research Institute

The Network Theory Applied Research Institute exists to improve the internet. Identifying the problem with it's current configuration as the Democratic Information Velocity Crisis (also see Material Culture of Democratic Deliberation) we've developed Janus Facing Architecture as an improvement on the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, the internet's current suite for delivering connection. 

Janus Facing Architecture corrects the social and economic blindness of the OSI model by adding an enforceable public covenant in user-to-user transactions and an accessible governance apparatus held accountable by exit and open standards. Those considered users under OSI are the entreprenurial hosts of a JFA network compensated for the storage, compute and print they execute on home computer systems, cell phones and smart TVs. 

We are currently hosting our first annual Community Orchestration Software Development Sprint to develop the first software needed to orchestrate this network, running August 11th to May 15th, 2027. Our fundraiser will go toward completing, testing and reporting the prototype under the guidance of a staff team including legal counsel and CPA. Our goal is to provide Kentuckiana with the first JFA network in the world.
