Driven to Connect

North Star Achievement Center opened last year to support adults with disabilities in finding employment, building meaningful friendships and connections, and continuing lifelong learning — helping people move from simply existing to truly thriving in all they aspire to do!

We believe that everyone deserves to be part of their community — to work, to learn, to connect, and to grow.

Every week, we coordinate over 100 rides to get people with disabilities to jobs, volunteer sites, classes, and activities that help them build skills and relationships. But here’s the thing: we don’t have a van of our own yet.

 We have primarily been using staff vehicles and occasionally a borrowed van — but it’s not sustainable, and it limits what we can do. We need an accessible van so we can provide safe, consistent, and inclusive transportation — not just to get from point A to B, but to make sure no one is left behind!
