Parenting is one of life’s greatest joys, but it can also feel overwhelming. Kids today are growing up in a world full of pressures and risks, and many parents are left wondering how to respond. Questions about technology, mental health, and substances do not come with a handbook, and too often parents feel unprepared. That is where Operation Parent comes in.

Since 2005, we have been walking alongside parents and caregivers with resources that make tough topics a little easier to talk about. Our mission is to empower families to have casual, courageous conversations—the kind that build trust, open doors, and keep kids safe. Through our trusted Parent Handbooks, expert-led webinars, and community partnerships, we provide prevention-focused tools that encourage parents to talk early, talk often, and stay connected through every stage of childhood.

What began in one Kentucky classroom has grown into a national movement. Over the past 19 years, Operation Parent has reached more than 500,000 families across the country with practical resources, honest information, and encouragement to keep showing up, even when parenting feels tough.
