Roots101 African American Museum

Roots 101 African American Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and dynamic educational experience that engages visitors of all ages and backgrounds in meaningful exploration.

Through our exhibits, programs, and activities, we seek to promote understanding, inspire appreciation, and facilitate dialogue about the diversity of the African American experience. We aim to challenge stereotypes, broaden perspectives, and encourage critical thinking about the complex issues facing our society today.

Roots 101 is committed to serving as a valuable resource for  our entire community and we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment that fosters learning, reflection and connection.

• Fuel our continued growth while expanding our national footprint 
• Launch our National Family Search Affiliate
 Library, where every family can trace their history
• Launch our Black Sports Hall of Fame which will honor the legacy of excellence in Black athletics
