Sweet Evening Breeze's Trager House

In April 2024, Sweet Evening Breeze opened Trager House. It is the first transitional housing for LGBTQ young people in Kentucky. Trager House is a place where LGBTQ homeless young people between the ages of 18 and 24 can stay for 3-12 months. During this time, we provide individuals with a fully furnished apartment, utilities, supplies/toiletries, food, transportation, case management, and mental health therapy, along with a fully supportive community, where they can become stable and work on their personal goals for success. 

Since opening, we have had multiple clients graduate successfully from Trager House.

We could not have done this without the support of our community. This year, we are hoping to raise additional funds to provide another year of services, with costs that include the following:

• Utilities for four apartments for six months at a cost of: $4,800
• Supplies/toiletries for four residents for six months at a cost of: $1,200
• Food security for four residents for six months at a cost of: $6,000
• Transportation assistance for four residents for six months at a cost of: $1,200
•  Furniture for a single unit, at a cost of: $1,800

Our Goal:

While we are focusing today on raising money for residents of Trager House, we also provide plenty of support services to many of our other LGBTQ young adults experiencing housing instability in the Louisville area.

- SEB gives out food, toiletries, and clothing to youth every week?
