TECH-Nique provides a tech leadership pipeline and opportunities for underrepresented groups.

At TECH-Nique, we aren't just learning tech, we're leading it. Through partnerships with schools, community centers, and organizations, participants design and deliver workshops for peers, develop AI-driven solutions for local clients, and step onto panels to shape conversations on ethics, bias, and technology for social good. Every opportunity taps into their authentic identity and community power, proving that tech leadership belongs to all of us.

This summer, 60 young people ages 16 to 21 were paid to work as consultants-in-training, delivering 14 AI and technology projects to Louisville nonprofits at no cost to those organizations. They built a behavioral health care navigator, a civic engagement chatbot that explains Metro Council decisions in plain language, community asset maps, and automation that gave small teams their time back.

We teach responsible AI first. Every intern learns what AI can do, what it cannot do, and where it goes wrong. Bias, accuracy, privacy, and human judgment come before anything is handed to a partner organization.
