WHAT WE DO

The Monarch is a special place for Music, Art & Community. We're a vital hub for Louisville musicians and creatives of all sorts, as well as an essential destination for professional touring artists of all genres. People come here to share music, connect, create, learn and grow together.

We provide co-working space, rehearsal space, performance venues, educational programming, workshops, and professional tools for artists of all levels and the only listening room in town. We build community by connecting our neighbors, neighborhoods and artists from across the country, through shared creative experience.

OUR MISSION

Community is the key! We bring people together through music and arts to foster a stronger, more cohesive, and vibrant Louisville, and IT'S WORKING! Our mission is to strengthen and champion local and touring artists while promoting arts appreciation throughout our community.

We provide a special place to work, play and hang. We empower artists because they empower all of us. We're working hard to amplify the sounds of our city and beyond, knowing that when we support artists, we nurture our entire community in so many ways. Music brings us together, together we make a difference!

WITH YOUR SUPPORT

We provide a one-of-a-kind creative sanctuary that's vendor-free and BYO - we don't sell anything and our model is about community over commerce. The Monarch feels like home and is open to local artists, musicians, and patrons seven days a week. We host countless jams, rehearsals, workshops, community mixers, educational programs, lessons, literary events, and collaborative gatherings that bring Louisville's creative community together.

Since June of 2022, we've hosted over 550 community events for over 15,000 attendees, featuring over 2000 local, regional, national and international touring Artists. (Including GRAMMY winners like Teddy Abrams, Jason Isbell, Margo Price, Jim James, Nappy Roots, Michael Cleveland & more).

WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!

As a member sustained nonprofit organization, The Monarch exists with the help of folks that want to see a special place like this exist in our city. This is a WE project and we'd love for you to be part of it!
