WHAT WE DO

The Monarch is a special place where Music, Art & Community converge. We're a vital hub for Louisville musicians and creatives of all sorts, plus an essential destination for professional touring artists of all genres. People come here to share music, connect, create, learn and grow together.

We provide co-working space, rehearsal space, performance venues, educational programming, workshops, and professional tools for artists of all levels. We build community by connecting local neighborhoods with creatives from across the country. 

OUR MISSION

Community is the key! We're bringing people together to foster a stronger, more cohesive, and vibrant Louisville. Our mission is to champion original local and professional touring artists while promoting music and art appreciation throughout our community.

We empower artists because they empower, inspire, and uplift all of us - reminding us of our shared humanity. We're working hard to amplify the sounds of our city and beyond, knowing that when we support artists, we nurture the entire community. Music brings us together, together we make a difference!

WITH YOUR SUPPORT

We provide a one-of-a-kind creative sanctuary that's vendor-free and BYO - we don't sell anything and our unique model is community over commerce. This space feels like home for creatives, available to local artists, musicians, and makers seven days a week. We host countless jams, rehearsals, workshops, community mixers, educational programs, lessons, literary events, and collaborative gatherings that bring Louisville's creative community together.

Since June of 2022, we've hosted over 440 community events, featuring over 1700 local, regional, national and international touring Artists. (Including GRAMMY winners like Teddy Abrams, Jason Isbell, Margo Price, Jim James, Nappy Roots, Michael Cleveland & more).
