About The Morton Center
Hope starts here. Healing stays here.
The Morton Center is Kentucky’s only nonprofit, freestanding outpatient counseling center specializing in integrated substance use and mental health treatment for individuals and families of all ages. We believe recovery isn’t just about one person—it’s about preserving the entire family system.
What sets us apart?
No one is turned away. Thanks to our scholarship fund, The Morton Center ensures that anyone who reaches out for help receives it—regardless of their ability to pay.
A chair for everyone. Whether you're 5 or 95, a parent or a partner, we offer trauma-informed care that includes EMDR therapy, family education, adolescent and adult intensive outpatient programs (IOP), individual therapy, children’s art therapy, and more.
A legacy of healing. Celebrating 41 years in Louisville, we’ve walked alongside more than 60,000 Kentuckians on their path to recovery.
We know recovery isn’t linear—and we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our licensed clinicians meet people where they are, provide individualized care, and work with the whole family to build lasting resilience.
Your gift during Give for Good Louisville allows us to keep our promise: to offer a chair for anyone who needs one.
Join us. Give for good. Give for hope.
Who We Are
The Morton Center is a nonprofit outpatient counseling center providing integrated substance use and mental health care for individuals and families across Kentucky. Founded in 1984, we serve children as young as five, teens, adults, and loved ones affected by addiction—with a focus on healing the whole family.
We are trauma-informed, EMDR-trained, and guided by licensed clinicians who understand that no two recovery journeys are the same. From adolescent and adult IOPs to family education, therapy, and children’s art groups, we offer comprehensive services designed to build long-term resilience.
We are proud to be Louisville’s only nonprofit of our kind—with no in-patient beds, no hidden fees, and no one turned away due to financial hardship. Our scholarship fund ensures that every person has a chair at The Morton Center.
We believe recovery is possible—for everyone.
