MISSION STATEMENT:   Promoting economic growth in Louisville's West End, working with businesses to advocate for Growth and Development

Louisville’s West End Business Association (WEBA) is a group of like-minded individuals who have banded together to help businesses in the West End of Louisville and minority businesses throughout Jefferson County in various ways. Through advocacy, education, and networking, WEBA can help to expand West End businesses and assist them in reaching their goals. We know that there are many active and successful organizations working towards this end. Still, we hope to be a Convener at the community level to bring this myriad of diverse resources together, and for WEBA to become a One-Stop-Shop for accessing public, private, and governmental support, expertise, information, and capital to create sustainability and intergenerational wealth for individuals hoping to become and who already are business owners or entrepreneurs in the west end of Louisville, KY.

We are a coalition of dedicated, visionary, volunteer leaders working to create change, enhance growth and development primarily in the west end business community from the ground up in collaboration with other like-minded entities, organizations, businesses, and individuals who recognize that “We are stronger together.” We use our expertise, networks, time, talent, and treasure to operate this volunteer-run, grassroots nonprofit and create growth opportunities that impact the broader community with emphasis on the nine traditional west end neighborhoods.

Minority and West-End businesses often do not have the resources needed to be successful and sustainable.  WEBA is connecting these businesses and introducing them to existing resources to enable capital development through proven business strategies and training by industry leaders and collaborators sharing their expertise. Our training opportunities are low-cost or free to ensure that potential barriers caused by economic challenges do not prevent minority and west-end businesses from accessing the tools needed to acquire the skills required for success.

By building skills, increasing access, and expanding networks, WEBA is laying the foundation for lasting economic empowerment and intergenerational wealth creation—one entrepreneur, one business, one neighborhood at a time.
