Here in Louisville, our team works alongside residents and community partners in neighborhoods experiencing some of the highest rates of gun violence, including communities throughout West Louisville. We bring prevention training, safe storage resources, and practical tools directly into the community.

Why Whitney/Strong?

Whitney/Strong began just weeks after Executive Director and Co-founder Whitney Austin survived being shot twelve times during the Fountain Square mass shooting in Cincinnati on September 6, 2018.

Whitney and her husband, Waller, turned that experience into action, building an organization committed to bringing people together around practical solutions to gun violence, regardless of political affiliation or gun ownership status.
