What is YPAL Raising Funds For?

YPAL is raising money for The Young Professional Development Fund. The YP Development Fund exists for Young Professionals in the Louisville Metro area to attend trainings, conferences, develop professional skills, and get certifications or credentials. After a review, applicants may be awarded full or partial funding based on their request and funds available. This fund fuels the drive we see every day in young professionals across the city working to sharpen their skills and further their careers. 

Who is the Young Professional Development Fund For?

Young Professionals:

Any young professional in the Louisville Metro area can apply, as long as the funds are used for the approved professional development purposes.

Employers:

If there are specific skills, certifications, or training programs that would advance your team’s capabilities, encourage your employees to apply. YPAL may offset or share the cost, expanding opportunities for key staff development.

How Can You Help Meet the Need?

The average award to applicants is between $450-$550 depending on the request and available funding. You can expand the impact of this fund and increase the number of Young Professionals equipping themselves with skills, certifications, or trainings by:

• Donating during YPAL’s Give for Good on September 18th

• Participating in fundraising events

• Spreading the word to others who believe in growing a well equipped workforce in Louisville
