Who We Are

The mission of Comfort House Child Advocacy Center is to serve victims of child sexual abuse through a coordinated intervention and to end the cycle of child abuse through education.

Comfort House Child Advocacy Center provides services to children and families affected by abuse.

The services we provide include:
•a multi-disciplinary team forensic interview
•advocacy and referral to counseling
•child abuse prevention programs

Comfort House Child Advocacy Center staff members work as a team with law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, victim advocates, and mental health and medical professionals.

With two Southern Indiana locations (Corydon and Jeffersonville), services are primarily offered to children and families in Harrison, Clark, and Floyd counties; however, no one is denied services because of geographical location.

Comfort House Child Advocacy Center also provides the Play it Safe child abuse prevention program to children in pre-school through 12th grades at no charge to the students or schools. The goal of the Play it Safe program is to give children the skills and language necessary to help adults protect them from abuse.
