$5,000 Goal

Our goal this year: Make 100 musicians! Just $50 pays for a student to have 10 lessons on an instrument such as guitar or ukulele - enough to build basic skills, perhaps to lead a singalong.

Donations of any amount are welcome, but we are challenging our supporters to donate $50 to help make a new musician - or team up with friends and family to contribute $50 together.

About us

We founded Community Music Alliance in New Albany in 2017 with the goal to eliminate barriers to music in Kentuckiana.  We believe that everyone should have equal access to the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy music regardless of financial situation and personal connections.  We have access to professionals in many areas and can help educate and connect at no charge.

Our programs, all offered at no charge, include:
  • Group lessons programs for a variety of instruments
  • Loaner instruments for lessons
  • Radio show featuring live performances from local and regional musicians
  • Recording studio
  • Rehearsal space
  • Community Orchestra, Choir and Big Band / Jazz Group
  • Free concerts
  • Booking agency

Our goal is to do whatever it takes to continue to provide musical opportunities to everyone in our community. Our mission is to make music accessible to everyone by providing the opportunity to learn, play, and grow musically, enriching the lives of those we serve, and the greater community. We continue to make this our driving force, and look forward to the opportunities we find in the years to come.
