Louisville Habitat

Twin sisters, Andrea and Ayreale, have always been close. Both Louisville natives and graduates of Central High School, they now work side-by-side at the same company. Their bond has always been strong, but soon it will grow even closer—because their Habitat for Humanity homes will be right across the street from one another! 

Andrea and Ayreale both applied for Louisville Habitat’s homebuyer program together. While Andrea was accepted, Ayreale wasn’t—at least not at first. But Ayreale, determined to become a homeowner before age 25, kept trying. At 24 years old, her dream is finally coming true. 

Ayreale is raising her four-year-old daughter who can’t wait for her Frozen-themed bedroom and a backyard trampoline. Andrea, meanwhile, is excited to raise her children just steps away from her sister. Both women see their homes as places of safety, comfort and stability—where family dinners, laughter and love will always be at the center. 

“Living by my sister means having a built-in support system, being able to raise our kids together and provides a sense of comfort,” Andrea shares. Ayreale adds, “Home is a safe place. It means comfort and stability. It is a place for family.” 

The homes aren't just in a neighborhood; they are in a community built on hope, resilience and connection.
