We've launched an urgent campaign to raise $120,000 by our Gala on October 18th. Every dollar helps us prevent staff layoffs and keep our vital programs alive. 

🧠 THE ISSUE

Trauma can be defined as any unhealed wound and can result from experiences ranging from emotional abuse to domestic violence to systemic oppression to war. It’s common in our society to put a band-aid on the symptoms of trauma - labeling, medicating and managing them - rather than to actually heal the root issue. Effective treatments exist but they are not widely known or accessible. Healing TREE exists so that healing becomes the new normal.

Healing TREE (Trauma Resources, Education & Entertainment) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that advocates healing from abuse and trauma rather than coping with the symptoms, in order to transform lives and, ultimately, society. We achieve this by providing trauma-focused resources and education and by producing and partnering with relevant film, television, and theatre, empowering the social change necessary to create a healing movement.
