Our Mission

Our mission is to listen, understand and act upon the needs and lives of families, single parents, youth and the community. HJW promotes family strength, youth development and socioeconomic progress, which will be accomplished through training, outreach programs, and education. We want the community to prosper through the creation of life enhancing skills, which are fundamental to permanent transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.

 

The Vision

Our vision is to create a prosperous economic future for the Metro community (Shelby, Jefferson, Oldham, Harrison, Bullitt, Floyd, and Clark counties), so they may help foster a thriving local economy.

 

Our Action 

HJW’s doors are open to all of the community, and we work to assist and meet the needs of all individuals and family members seeking our services. Through our partnerships, ear to the community and outreach, we are responding to the immediate needs communicated to our leadership team. Thus, our programming is specifically targeting those who are historically minoritized with substantial, well thought out programming that gets to the root of issues hindering socioeconomic growth.
